Deadly Target by Elizabeth Goddard – Review

Hi Readers!

I am so sorry for not posting for almost a month! It’s been rough for my family (sickness) this month, but in the world of books it has been AMAZING! There have been so many good books that have come out this month like Lights Out by Natalie Walters, A Castle For Christmas by Stephenia McGee and Dead Fall by Nancy Mehl. Another awesome book that debuted is my Must Read for today…. Deadly Target by Elizbeth Goddard! So without further ado, let’s take a look!

From The Back Cover

Criminal psychologist Erin Larson’s dreams of a successful career come to a screeching halt when she nearly loses her own life in a boating accident on Puget Sound and then learns that her mother tried to commit suicide. She leaves her job as a criminal psychologist to care for her mother in Montana. At least she is able to produce her podcast, which focuses on solving missing persons cold cases.

Nathan Campbell’s father was investigating such a case when he was shot, and now Nathan needs to enlist Erin’s help to solve the case. She’s good at what she does. The only problem? She’s his ex.

As the two dig deeper, it becomes clear that they, too, are being targeted–and that the answers to their questions are buried deep within the past Erin struggles to explain and longs to forget.

The race is on for the truth in this gripping and complex tale of suspense, intrigue, and murder from USA Today bestselling author Elizabeth Goddard.

What Did I Think?

Deadly Target kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and it was almost impossible to put down! I loved all the plot twists and to be honest, the end was a complete surprise to me (on most mystery/suspense books, I can guess the ending, but this one kept me guessing!!). One of the parts that stood out to me was finding out why Erin did her “Missing Children” podcast. I couldn’t believe that she had been carrying around this super heavy burden (and why she wouldn’t get close to anyone) for so many years! As with all of Elizabeth Goddard’s previous books, the characters were amazing and this is definitely a book I would read over and over and I would recommend it to anyone. I will also say that even though it’s part of a series, it can be read as a standalone as well. Overall, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars!

Rating: 5 out of 5.
